Location

French House is a fantastic 5-bedroom villa (sleeping a total of 10 guests) with its origins dating back to the 18th Century. Accessed by a private driveway, the villa is nestled on the hillside of a 65-acre coconut plantation estate that stretches all along Industry Bay. Guests can enjoy total seclusion and undisturbed privacy with no direct neighbours and a fantastic panoramic view of the ocean and the Grenadine Islands of Balliceaux, Battowia and Mustique.

Indoors

French House's eco-friendly design has used local materials, including abundant stone and mahogany. Its enormous stone walls, large French doors and windows allow the cooling trade winds to enter from the east, and the pitched roof ensures that the interiors remain cool. There is a fully equipped spacious kitchen, an honour bar, and a great room with books and games, all for the exclusive use of French House guests. In addition, guests will find an iPod dock/Android compatible, tropical-weight bathrobes and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Outdoors

The property features a saline plunge pool and a deep wraparound veranda facing the ocean with spectacular views.

Sleeping

All five guest rooms are adorned with an eclectic selection of antique, vintage, and contemporary Caribbean-style furniture. Each room has a private bathroom, mahogany four-poster beds draped with mosquito nets, ceiling fans, and the sumptuous all-cotton percale linens ensuring guests sleep comfortably.

The Primary Suite - This room is the most spacious suite in the French House. It features a bedroom with a king-size antique mahogany bed, an en-suite bathroom, a kitchenette with a fridge, electric kettle, toaster oven, microwave oven and all the essentials you need for a simple meal. It also has a huge furnished private veranda overlooking the hillside and the Atlantic, ideal for open-air relaxation and alfresco dining. This room is perfect for you if you love being connected to nature.

Battowia - French windows welcome breathtaking views of the estate, reef-protected bay, and the Grenadines. Large and private, Battowia room has two queen-sized antique mahogany beds facing the sea. This room is ideal for guests who would like to stay in the same room but want to stretch out at night (and not share beds).

Balliceaux - Tan, chiselled rocks frame the lush greenery and glorious sea views that burst through the enormous French windows. This room has a king-sized, antique mahogany canopy bed and a stunning view over the estate, reef, ocean and the Grenadines.

Secret Guests - This is the house's most romantic and private room. A spiral stair leads to this hidden room with a view of virgin tropical forest and a peek at the sea from its Juliet balcony. The Secret Guests room has a queen-sized, antique mahogany canopy bed. The Secret Guests is the only room with air-conditioning at French House.

Mistress's Cottage - Secluded in the back courtyard near the pool, this Caribbean cottage glows with the lustre of polished mahogany. The Mistress Cottage has a queen-sized, antique mahogany canopy bed and a view of a virgin tropical forest, with a peek of the sea.
