Retreat House was the first hilltop villa built in Bequia, initially constructed in the 1930s. Recently, it was lovingly rebuilt with a new wing carefully added, maintaining the 30's charm.

Location

Located in Lower Bay Retreat House, the position captures the best possible bay and harbour views over Admiralty Bay. The two best beaches are just a few minutes away, Lower Bay is 3 mins on foot, and Princess Margret is 8 minutes. Local restaurants and bars are within walking distance, and taxis are readily available if you don't feel the walk home.

Outdoors

The beautiful infinity plunge pool reflects the high standard of finish echoed throughout the property, grounds, and gardens. The deep tiled, wide verandahs surround the house, where guests can enjoy the dramatic views over the bay.

Living

The abundant dining and relaxation space is perfect for a houseful of guests, friends and family. The elevated position provides an ambient climate throughout the property, enhanced by cool stone tiles in the bathrooms and smooth, polished wooden floors throughout the dining and living areas. The villa has high wooden ceilings and immaculate fittings in natural tones. Note there is no TV but plenty to entertain you whilst watching the extraordinary views. The kitchen has quality appliances and cookware, including a double oven and fridge, ensuring guests can entertain in style. A Nespresso machine is available for morning coffee.

Sleeping

There are three spacious air-conditioned bedrooms, two on the upper and one on the lower level. The primary bedroom has views over the sea. The bathrooms are designed with contemporary fittings and features whilst retaining period charm. One of the bedrooms has a separate office area with a/c and printer. Each bedroom has a safe, and there are quality robes in each bedroom.
