Retreat House was the first hilltop villa built in Bequia in the 1930s. Recently, it was lovingly rebuilt with a new wing carefully added, maintaining its charm from the 1930s.

Nearby, various local restaurants and bars are easily accessible on foot, offering a taste of the vibrant culinary scene. For added convenience, taxis are readily available for those preferring a leisurely ride back.

Outdoors

The beautiful 5.25 x 5.25 metre infinity pool reflects the high standard of finish echoed throughout the property, grounds, and gardens. The deep tiled, wide verandahs surround the house, where guests can enjoy the dramatic views over the bay.

Living

The abundant dining and relaxation space is perfect for a houseful of guests, friends and family. The elevated position provides an ambient climate throughout the property, enhanced by cool stone tiles in the bathrooms and smooth, polished wooden floors throughout the dining and living areas. The villa has high wooden ceilings and immaculate fittings in natural tones. Note there is no TV but plenty to entertain you whilst watching the extraordinary views. The kitchen has quality appliances and cookware, including a double oven and fridge, ensuring guests can entertain in style. A Nespresso machine with milk frother is available for morning coffee.

Sleeping

This property features three generously sized bedrooms equipped with air conditioning for your comfort. On the upper level, there are two bedrooms, while the lower level houses one. The primary bedroom suite is uniquely situated on a corner, offering stunning sea views on one side and a picturesque view of the pool and garden on the other. It includes a private terrace with a comfortable lounger for two, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenic Lower Bay. Additionally, the suite boasts a large, bright walk-in wardrobe with air conditioning, a desk, and an office chair for added convenience. Each bathroom is thoughtfully designed, combining modern fixtures with classic elegance. For your security and peace of mind, a safe is also provided.
