Terms & Conditions for property rental with Blue Grenadines
Our policy is to be as flexible & helpful as possible
The booking is fully secured once Blue Grenadines has also received the bank/wire transfer or a signed credit card payment. Guests must provide a credit card authorisation form provided by Blue Grenadines with a valid credit or debit card, which is valid for the booking period and 8 weeks beyond the check out date.
On approval, the property owner agrees to hold the dates for the guest, and in return, the guest agrees the payments will be provided at each stage and understands the following terms;
1. Reservations will be held for 5 days after the invoice date. Payment options include wire transfer or credit card (please note a 5% surcharge for credit card payments). Wire transfer may incur additional bank charges, which need to be paid at the source by the Guest.
2. If the property owner requires a damage deposit, Blue Grenadines will add this to the final invoice.
3. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made more than 60 days before the arrival date; Blue Grenadines will return a full refund, less 10% admin fee to the client. Cancellations made less than 60 days of the arrival date; every effort will be made to re-book the property. If the property is not re-booked, then the full rental fee is non-refundable.
Once Blue Grenadines has received the bank/wire transfer, the booking is fully secured. Clients must provide a credit card authorisation form provided by Blue Grenadines with a valid credit or debit card, which is valid for the booking period and 8 weeks beyond the check out date.
Blue Grenadines does not cover bank fees deducted by the Guests bank. Charges incurred for dishonoured cheques etc. will be passed onto the guest. All prices quoted include or clearly state VAT & any Government Taxes where applicable at current rates.
Tips are at the discretion of the guest for staff services and are always appreciated.
Please assume all of our properties are non-smoking. Please do also remember that it is illegal to smoke cannabis.
Condition of Property
Before guests arrive, the property will have been cleaned and checked. Any damage or failure found should be reported within 24 hours of arrival to the owner. The property will otherwise be deemed to be satisfactory for the guest. Losses, damage or any cleaning necessary over and above normal servicing will be invoiced to the guest on or as soon after departure as possible. By accepting our terms and conditions, you authorise us to deduct payment for these from your credit card or debit card.
Blue Grenadines reserves the right to amend prices quoted on the website.
Photographs of the interiors of properties are representative only, and interiors may vary. Changes to external premises or facilities described on the website or changes to the availability of properties are outside of our control and cannot be relied upon absolutely. Blue Grenadines takes no responsibility for noise or nuisance resulting from third party activity over which they have no control.
Damage to Property
The guest is liable for the full cost of any damage caused to or within the property during the rental period. The cost of any damage will be invoiced to the guest on or as soon after the discovery and as close to departure as possible by the owner.
Should any breakdowns to appliances or outages to services such as electricity or wifi occur, every effort will be made to repair or replace and reconnect services expediently. Blue Grenadines does not accept liability for delays in reconnection or repairs that are beyond our control. Blue Grenadines will not take responsibility for wifi speed; the wifi on the island is good and reliable, but guests should not expect speeds equal to Nth America or the UK.
Blue Grenadines does not accept liability for any act, neglect or default on the part of the owners or any other person not within their employ, nor for any accident, damage, loss, injury, expense or inconvenience whether to person or property, which the guests or anyone connected with the rental may incur.
Safety & Security
All properties are used at your own risk. Guests must take special care at properties with a swimming pool, balcony, steps, smooth tiled floor area or elevated terrace, which are used at your own risk. Parents should ensure that their children are supervised in such areas at all times. The personal safety of the guests and their possessions is their own responsibility. Bequia is one of the safest places on earth, but crime still occurs, so please be vigilant and careful not to encourage it. Please keep valuables out of sight and secure to remove temptation. The owners and the Blue Grenadines are not responsible for any theft or impact of a crime that the guests might experience on the island. The guests travelling must be personally capable and in the event of a negative experience to accept the owner is not responsible should they wish to vacate the property due to a break-in or similar. Please remember that all villas and vehicles should be locked and secure when unattended and at night. By removing the opportunity for a crime, you assist in reducing it.
